Park user survey
Calling Boultham Park users…….
The National Lottery, significant funders of the Boultham Park Restoration Project, and now the Lake Restoration Project, have commissioned an evaluation of their ‘Parks for People’ programme. That was the programme under which the initial Boultham Park restoration was funded.
In order to evaluate the effects of ‘Parks for People’ they chose a handful of park projects, each unique or special for different reasons. Boultham Park is one of the projects they have chosen.
As part of the their evaluation, they have released a park user survey and would be very grateful if you could take 5 or 10 minutes to complete it.
Please feel free to share the link with others who visit Boultham Park.
Thank you!

Green Flag Award have launched their #PerfectParks challenge
The campaign is a bid to counteract feelings of isolation during the COVID-19 global pandemic, whilst recognising the importance of parks. The challenge calls upon people of all ages – especially families with children – to create pictures that celebrate the features that would make up their ‘perfect park’.

Coronavirus – visiting parks
We know how important and valued Lincoln’s parks and open spaces are, and in these unusual times they are more important than ever to many people. The vast majority of people are respecting social distancing measures when visiting the park, and are taking all reasonable steps to keep themselves and others safe.
When visiting Boultham Park or any other greenspace, please remember:
If everyone follows these rules, the risks of transmitting the virus during a visit to the park will be minimised.
Take care and keep safe

Boultham Park Summer Fair cancelled
It is with great disappointment that the 2020 Boultham Park Summer Fair has had to be cancelled, based on government advice in relation to Coronavirus.
Everyone involved is extremely disappointed, but this is the right thing to do under the current circumstances.
Coronavirus / covid-19 update
Please note that events / activities / volunteering groups are being cancelled from Monday 23rd March (some sooner), until further notice. We are sorry to have to take this step but in light of the most recent government advice it is the right thing to do, to delay the spread of the disease and protect those people in the ‘vulnerable’ categories.
We look forward to reinstating our activities, and to starting the exciting programme of events through the lake restoration project later in the year.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Litter pick on Saturday 4th April
Boultham Park Advisory Group – BPAG – will be holding our next litter pick on Saturday 4th April.
Meet in the Hall Drive car park at 10.30am. All equipment provided. Everyone welcome.
First of the new trees in Boultham Park
Councillor Bob Bushell planted a tree on 10th February to mark the start of the Boultham Park Lake Restoration project, and to celebrate the Council’s commitment to the Woodland Trust Tree & Woodland Charter.
Representatives of Woodland Trust, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and Boultham Park Advisory Group were there to celebrate, alongside local residents, councillors and council officers.
The event launched the lake restoration project which has now started with tree removals and tree planting during February. If you’d like to join volunteers planting trees in Boultham Park please contact Al, our Volunteer Coordinator (details on the volunteering page).
Tree planting on Monday 10th February!
We’re celebrating at Boultham Park by planting a tree on Monday 10th February.
Councillor Bushell, Portfolio Holder for Remarkable Place will plant the tree to celebrate the start of the Boultham Park Lake Restoration Project. This will also mark the City of Lincoln Council’s commitment to the Woodland Trust Tree and Woodland Charter.
The tree will be planted at the edge of the park – near to the bandstand – at 11am.
We hope you can join us.
